FOOD & WINE
Since you're by the Med, you'll want to eat seafood here. (Check out the cool fish market at the Old Port!). You'll find lots of cuisines represented in Marseille. You can eat along the harbor or in a nearby square to people-watch. For dessert, be sure to have gelato. Marseille is not a major wine region, but try the crisp whites from the nearby Provence countryside.
As we only spent one night in Marseille as a group, our dinner together was our farewell dinner. We ate at L'Arcenaulx, an interesting restaurant that seems like it could double as a library or bookstore. Daniela gave a heartfelt thank you to us for being her travel partners, and we in turn thanked her for the amazing opportunities she provided us. |
